Lisa Hoashi is an executive coach, leadership development consultant and communications strategist with more than two decades of experience helping leaders clarify their vision and values so they can chart a purposeful path amid uncertainty and change.
Lisa is an ICF PCC-certified coach with more than 1,500 coaching hours and 225 engagements across individual and organizational contexts. Her clients range from new managers to C-suite executives at Fortune 500 companies, startups, nonprofits and SMEs across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Her specialties are coaching leaders through career and organizational transitions; to improve communciations, presence and visibility; to manage uncertainty and conflict; to build stronger relationships; and to leverage strengths and step into greater authenticity.
Lisa designs coaching and learning spaces to honor people as whole beings, recognize the complex systems of which they are a part, offer psychological safety, and cultivate understanding and growth.
Previously Lisa was a communications leader in international development and humanitarian aid, work that took her to Haiti following the 2010 earthquake and to refugee camps of the Syrian civil war. These experiences inform her deep commitment to supporting mission-driven leaders navigating complex, high pressure and crosscultural environments.
Coaching, combined with a lifelong creative writing practice, has also sparked Lisaās years of study into energy management, behavior change, and how to cultivate habits that vitalize us, our work, and our creativity.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from NYU and completed coach training at CoachU. She has trained in participatory facilitation methods with the Institute of Cultural Affairs (U.S. and U.K.) and the Institute for Equity-Centered Coaching.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, a third-generation Japanese-American, Lisa currently lives in Barcelona, Spain.
