Our Statement Against Racial Injustice

At Hone, like millions around the world, we have been outraged and saddened by the most recent examples of police brutality against black people in the US, and the treatment of protesters who are standing up against these injustices.

Such shameful incidents and their fallout add pain to those who are already hurting from the coronavirus pandemic, where black and brown communities are disproportionately affected in healthcare outcomes and job losses.

We cannot go back to the status quo. We stand with the black community – now and always – and have reflected deeply on how we, as a small company, can do our part.

Hone was founded with the mission of bringing greater access to leadership development, from a belief that education is one of the greatest change-makers and equalizers we have.

We will be offering complimentary leadership training to those who otherwise wouldn’t have access, in partnership with organizations supporting such communities. We will also be hosting open sessions to help leaders, managers and talent professionals navigate these unique times. Details to follow, and introductions welcome.

While we already have a range of diversity, inclusion and bias programming, we are redoubling our efforts to deepen and share this work as well as further integrate these universal principles into all our programming.

Internally, we are committed to fostering an even more diverse and inclusive environment as our team grows.

“I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits.”

— Martin Luther King, Jr.
